Hi Friends! Spring is in full swing! Thank goodness am I, right? Among the many things I love about this time of year, there is something I really get excited about. It’s dinner party season!
The holidays will forever be the party season but I have always thought of spring and summer as dinner party season. Both Easter and Mother’s Day are coming up and I could hardly wait to create a beautiful and simple spring tablescape.
Plus I have a free menu printable just for you! It’s simple, sweet, and has that spring style, download below!
It has been a while since I put together a tablescape, but as soon as I started planning I remembered why I love it so much. There is something about a styled tablescape that radiates elegance. I wanted the tablescape to have those classic spring colors of pink, green and white (also, some of my favorite colors!) with little pops of gold.
The centerpiece is of course the focal point and I wanted it to be big and colorful. I used a mixture of real and faux flowers which is a great way to save a little cash. You can use the fake flowers again and still have the look of real flowers. These pink roses and greenery bunches look so real and bring great color to the centerpiece.
I also used some greenery clippings from my backyard. I have a big rosemary bush and it is great for filling. The flowers sat in a cute wooden box. It has some slats on the side so I put the flowers in white mason jars so they show through, gives it a little rustic feel, don’t cha think?
The flowers sit on a simple green runner. That green color is one of my favorites and goes so well with the centerpiece.
Linens can be so expensive. You can make them yourself out of a yard or two of fabric. I bought two yards for the runner and folded it in fourths and made a few stitches at the ends to create the classic point. The napkins were made from a yard of fabric cut into 16 x 16 squares and folded.
The small candle holders are from the dollar tree and these gold candles are the perfect little detail. The dollar tree has so many great items for a tablescape, including these white plates! Can you believe they are a dollar?! I love the texture on the edges and they match the spring theme so well.
I have always loved the look of a menu sitting on top of the plates. It is an elegant way to inform your guests of what they can expect and adds to the table’s decor. The sweet green branch at the top and bottom is so pretty and gives more life to the spring theme. Download the menu below for your next dinner party!
I hope you enjoy this tablescape as much as I did creating it! This beautiful season is just warming up and I am looking forward to all the dinner parties and gorgeous tablescapes that are ahead.
