My office space is complete! My workspace needed an upgrade, and it’s complete and now a finished, balanced space that I can comfortably work in. Natural, inspiring, colorful vibes together with gold accents.

Last week I wrote about redoing my office desk. It was my first attempt at refinishing anything and was the first step toward upgrading my office space. My office had been lacking decor and frankly was quite boring. With my desk finished it had already drawn me to use the space more so I was excited to get everything else into place.
To the left of my desk is a window, one of the reasons I placed my desk there is so I have natural light while working. Natural light is so important for a workspace. Most of us have probably experienced working all day with no sight of the outside world, not fun or healthy.
To accentuate the natural vibe a float frame was added with some leaves and buttercup flowers from my backyard. That way when the gloom comes; which it will I do live in Oregon after all, I will still have a little piece of green when I look at my window.
When redoing my office desk, I spray-painted the handles with metallic gold. This pen holder was spray painted with the same color, easy and inexpensive. Before I painted it, it was a boring pen holder but after, it became a decor piece that ties into the rest of the space.
While working I am usually sipping on coffee or tea and there is no way I am leaving rings on this brand new redone desk. I mixed it up with a wood round as my coaster. Again, going along with the natural theme that also goes well with the gold accents.
Wherever I go, I have a notebook with me. I need to write down my thoughts because if I don’t I will forget. The notebooks from Design Design, Inc are adorable. The unicorn notebook was an obvious choice because well, I am a unicorn (and guess what…so are you!)
Another way I brought the natural theme together is a vase full of greens and flowers. Fresh greens and flowers make me happy and calm so I don’t skimp in this area. The DIY vase is an easy project and ties n perfectly with the gold accents.

Thanks for sharing – we’re going to be redoing one of our bedrooms to make it a shared office space later this year, so this was very inspirational!

I bring notebooks everywhere. I go through 2-3 per month.

I go through about the same amount! I don’t know what I would do without them 🙂
