Christmas is less than a week away and I am getting all my ducks…or presents in a row! Every year the week before Christmas, I spend an afternoon wrapping all my present. I put on a Christmas movie, enjoy some peppermint puff cookies and break out the wrapping paper! It’s one of the many traditions that I look forward to every holiday season.
I will be honest though, historically I have not been the type of person to have perfectly wrapped presents adored with ribbons and bows. Usually Christmas sneaks up on me so fast I find that I have forgotten to buy ribbons, bows and gift tags. I’m guilty of cutting out a piece of wrapping paper and taping it to the present. Gasp! I know.
A beautifully wrapped present brings so much joy and I have always envied those who have the cohesively wrapped presents with all the extras. Gift tags are like the cherry on top. They can easily add that little extra bit of color to the perfectly wrapped presents. Plus, if you can print them at home, you save money and time.
These gift tags were designed with the help of Creative Market. This site is a creative persons dream and you can find so many amazing graphics to use for projects. My main goal was to keep them simple. You all know how much I love the simple and rustic style and I wanted that to show on these gift tags.
There are four different but similar styles to choose from. To keep with the simple rustic theme, I used baker’s and brown twine to attach the gift tags. I splurged for some nice wrapping paper but if you are looking for a really inexpensive option. Purchase a large roll of craft paper and make your own wrapping paper.
