It seems as though Spring is right around the corner, finally am I right!? I have been spending the last few weeks updating my decor for Spring. This time of year is one of my favorites for decor because everything is coming back to life, even my home decor. I recently shared my spring decor and this DIY vase sat on my coffee table. The natural vibe of this vase mixes so well with the colors of spring.
Believe me, when I say, this will be the easiest DIY vase you ever make.

This spring I have felt especially ready to update my home decor. When this kind of mood strikes me I go into full-on sale shopping and DIY mode. I am never one to spend a lot on my home decor unless, of course, it’s that perfect piece so DIY options are my savior. They are inexpensive but still make a lasting impression.
This DIY all started when I was roaming the aisles of my local craft store. I spotted a simple vase with a thick piece of leather wrapped around it. It was so simple yet striking and I had to have it. As I was reaching to put it in my basket, it occurred to me that I could make something similar on a dime.
My cart quickly scooted to the fabrics section and I picked out some leather strips. Next, I went across the street to the dollar tree (yes my local craft store is across the street from a dollar tree and yes it is trouble) and bought a couple of $1 vases. Back at my house to DIY it up!
What you’ll need:
Start by wrapping the leather around once and secure it by tucking it through as if you are beginning to tie a knot.
Wrap the leather around the vase until you reach your desired coverage. If you like a uniform look, neatly wrap the leather around the vase. Don’t be afraid to be a little crazy with it though. Overlap the leather and angle it up and down. Make it unique!
Once you have wrapped the leather until the vase is about halfway covered, secure it the same way you did at the beginning. You are done! Can you believe how easy that was!?
I adore the natural brown leather look, it blends so well with the soft colors of spring. Two different colors look amazing also and this suede leather comes in many different colors.
