Hi Friends! Summer is starting to really show its beautiful face around here. This season brings on some of the best colors and I love to decorate with bright colors. Living in Oregon I have grown to appreciate all the colors that pop up during summer time. It may rain a lot in Oregon, but it is all worth it when everything turns bright during the summer.
Lately, I have been mildly obsessed with tables capes. I put together a simple spring tablescape a couple months ago and table scapes have been on my mind ever since. For whatever reason putting together a beautiful cohesive table is so relaxing to me and I love adding the current season’s vibes to it.
Speaking of being mildly obsessed, succulents may also fall into that category. Although succulents may not be the first thing you think of for summer, my backyard is full of them and the colors are so gorgeous. I originally wanted bright green foliage to go under the succulents but while I was at New Seasons Market (they have a great floral department!) I saw the cotinus that has a deep purple color that I knew would go so well with the succulents.
I added some fresh clover blossoms (also from my backyard) to add a little more purple color into the centerpiece and slipped one blossom into each of the napkin rings. To add just a little more pop of green, I added a few faux green sprigs. Adding faux flowers in with fresh is a great way to save money and add some serious color.
The plates are the same ones from my spring tablescape, I love the small texture on the outside of the plates and they are from the dollar tree (yea, that’s right! plates for a dollar) so I enjoy using them. The blush tumblers go so well with the centerpiece and the design on them is so pretty.
I borrowed a few vintage napkin ring holders from my mom and those small silver goblets. I love adding vintage pieces into my decor because it makes it unique. Scroll down to see some similar products.
My favorite part of the entire table might be the unicorn salt and pepper shakers. They are so cute! I found these at Target, the brand is Threshold but for the life of me I cannot find the product online. These unicorn shakers are similar and the only ones I could find that resemble mine.
